Stock Up

posted Jan 27, 2011 20:01:59 by Newnfldraft.com
It looks like so far the players who have improved their stock the most have been: Cameron Jordan, DE/DT, Cal; Titus Young, WR, Boise St; Nate Solder, OT, Colorado; And the player that seems the consensus highest rated player at the senior bowl is Von Miller. How much do you think these players improved their stock? Additionally who else has helped or hurt their stock?

I think this solidifies Von Miller going in the top 20 pick in this 2011 NFL Draft. He is the best rush LB in this draft and he also has the size to be a rush defensive end. I think the farthest he will fall is the Chargers and I have seen him as high as going 5th to the Arizona Cardinals. I think this guy is beast who will be an immediate impact player.

I was just watching some more senior bowl tape and reading what other bloggers and draft analyst have been saying about the Senior Bowl and Colin Kaepernick out of Nevada is turning a lot of heads. I am interested to see how he plays on Saturday and also interested to see how he works out at the combine to see if he can make himself a 1-2 round grade come April.

Here's a couple of guys that actually helped themselves this week.

Rodney Hudson- G/ Florida State: He had a pretty decent week and was really great in the interior of the South's O-Line.

Charles Clay- FB/ Tulsa: He's more of a jack of all trades. He can block, play special teams, catch.... whatever you need him to do, he'll do it.

Kendrick Burney - CB/ UNC: He's more of a press defender, although he didn't look too bad (at times) covering the deep ball. He's especially good in the red zone taking away inside routes. Made some good special teams tackles as well.

Leonard Hankerson- WR/ Miami: Had a great week and was almost the MVP for the game. Hands are an issue, although I think a lot of teams will overlook that after this week.

Derrick Locke- RB/ Kentucky: He looked great on Saturday. He was patient, able to hit holes, and seemed to display good vision.

Brooks Reed- LB/ Arizona: He looked great and seemed to be all over the field on Saturday. He constantly beat Nate Solder when they were in 1 on 1 situations. Great day for him.
