Arizona Cardinals: Marcell Dareus, DE/DT, ‘Bama? Who do you want the Cardinals to take in the 2011 NFL Draft?

The best option for the Cardinals would be to trade down. Since this is a mock draft and they don't work that way, we'll assume that the Cards just can't get a trade done. Assuming that the top four picked are: Fairley, Peterson, Bowers, and Green (in any order), then Marcell Dareus would probably be the best pick here. You could argue about taking a QB, but the Cards have two young rookies on their roster already (Hall, Skelton). Adding another one doesn't sound like the best plan. Where the Cardinals really need help (I think) is the offensive line. Unfortunately, there isn't a top tier OL in this draft. Nate Solder or Gabe Carimi may be the best available, but not for the Top 5.
Yea I agree with your assesment. This team needs help along their front four and with Fairley and Bowers likely gone at this pick the clear choice would be Darius. For anyone to say they should draft a qb is obviously not looking at the big picture. Skelton is a guy they will try and develop behind a veteran qb. Anderson will likely be gone and once a new cba is in place the cardinals will be full pressed in the McNabb/Young sweepstakes. Another possibility might be Prince Amukamara, but without consistent pressure on opposing qbs he, along with DRC, would continuously struggle.
